Far in the heart of the Ancient Forest of Castalo, into the realm of dkAwaken, hidden from prying eyes of both vampires and humans, was the Hanial Dungeon, a place of sanctity and secrecy, created by the three sisters, Lavinia, Karisas, and Hora. The sisters, first of the Ousters, had dug this dungeon beneath the floor of the forest, intertwining it with their profound connection to nature and the roots of the great trees above. The Hanial Dungeon was no ordinary place; it was a living, breathing entity with one purpose in mind-to create and nurture new Ousters, beings born from the essence of nature itself.
Within Hanial, the focus is upon the Cosmic Eggs; mystical items that contained the essence of life required for the birthing of new Ousters. The sisters had built them with much care and siphoned the elementals through the roots of trees binding forest and dungeon together-f ire, earth, and water. Every root pulsed with the energy of the elements, feeding into the Cosmic Eggs, which, when matured, would give rise to new Ousters. These beings, though powerful, would only reach their full potential when they truly connected with the elements that birthed them.
Deeper within the Hanial Dungeon lay five sacred altars, each a testament to the elemental forces that the Ousters could command in the Darkeden Awaken world. The Altar of Nitras, consecrated to fire, crackled with eternal flames that never consumed the stone walls. The Altar of Meldon, a sanctuary of earth, where the ground rumbled with the strength of the mountains and the resilience of stone. The Altar of Elquine, which holds a cup filled with roots sap dictating the rhythm of life. A fourth altar is the Minerva Tower, dedicated to the Warrior Soul of the Ousters for greater good and more powerful strength of their physical bodies. While there was a fifth-one that had been shrouded most, by its very mystery holding that far greater secret.
This would be the final altar, known as the Altar of Hora, created by Hora herself; it was said that with this, a power so great could be attained as to elevate the Ousters beyond even the might of the vampires, using the wind element. When the Altar of Hora was activated, all living Ousters would receive a tremendous boost in strength and elemental control, enabling them to gain the upper hand against their enemies. But, fearing chaos such power could bring with it, the three sisters hid the scrolls containing the key to its activation. The scrolls were scattered and hidden in places known only to the three sisters, ensuring that the Altar of Hora would only be used in the gravest of circumstances.
By their very nature, the Ousters could command all the elements at once, a gift no other creature had. Still, it was said that only Lavinia, Karisas, and Hora knew how to wield the elements with mastery, intertwining fire, earth, and water in perfect harmony. This unique ability made them both revered and feared, all around dkAwaken, because the power of nature was a force unmatched by any other.
